Community guidelines

This place works because people are honest and unhurried with each other. Six things keep it that way.

01Share experience, not prescriptions

Say what happened to you and what you learned. Leave room for someone else's situation to be different.

02Ask once, with care

A specific, considered ask respects the person answering. Volume is not a strategy here.

03Consent is ongoing

Anyone can decline a request, close a conversation, or step back at any point without explanation.

04Privacy belongs to the person who lived it

Never repost, quote, or forward a private conversation. What is shared with you stays with you.

05No selling, recruiting, or promoting

Human Library is not a lead source. Commercial solicitation gets accounts removed.

06Know the limits of lived experience

Personal stories help you think. They do not replace medical, legal, or financial professionals.
